A banda, formada por Véu Pater (voz, violão e flauta), Peu Fulgêncio (teclados), Cláudio Lima (bateria), Eduardo Karranka (guitarra), Dudare (baixo) e Fábio Abu (percussão), apresenta ao público músicas autorais, de sonoridade híbrida e repleta de influências inusitadas. Inspirados na expressão popular "nem que a vaca tussa", surgiu o nome "Cof Damu" que, numa tradução simples, significa a improvável "tosse da vaca". Ao ouvir o som da jovem banda baiana a gente é surpreendido por um sentimento que mescla novidade e nostalgia. Parece que as canções na doce voz de Véu Pater já são velhas conhecidas, ainda que sejam atuais, mesclando influências como o folk, a mpb, o rock, o soul e o afoxé. Foi só após ter experimentado a resposta positiva pelo meio virtual, que o grupo, descoberto pela Som Livre através do Palco Mp3, assinou contrato com selo, lançando o cd oficialmente em 2008. Contudo, a banda chegou ao fim em 2009. Fica a saudade! -
