MUSICAL influences...

I enjoy many different types of music but has been most strongly influenced by contemporary R & B, Soul, Motown music, and the amazing talents of singers Donny Hathaway, Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder.

Melissa has been recording and singing professionally since the age of 13. She has over 15 years of professional experience in voice, acting, musical theater and dance. Melissa just finished her first cover album entitled, "Inspirationally Unplugged." With soulful vocals and stripped down music, there are seven inspirational songs ranging in style from pop, soul to acoustic and spiritual. It is available for purchase from www.melissasuzanne.com.

Explaining her goals for the future she says, "My intention is to achieve a level of success with my music that allows me to collaborate with the best artists, songwriters and producers to create quality musical performances whether it be for concerts, radio, musical theater or film. NEWS update

After competing for four months, Melissa won the Grand Prize of $10,000 in the national talent competition FAMECAST (www.famecast.com) held in the "Live Music Capitol of the World," Austin, Texas.
