Since 1996 in the road and always mixing ska with other musical forms, mainly with the alternative rock, Dancehall and ragga, the Sapobanjo appears enters the most praised bands of underground in Brazil, as much that in 2004 was considered the best band of ska for the readers of the appraised site of alternative music, the Punknet.

Its style, however deloused and sarcastic however politicized, can in Such a way be perceived in the letters as in the musical structure shown in all the works, designs and shows of the band.

In these years all, the SapoBanjo launched a Compact disc (SapoBanjo - 2000 with participation of integrant of the Parallel Band and Victor Rice), two Eps (Skataplá-1997 and Cassino -2004), participated of diverse coletâneas (Loolapalooza Playcenter, Skapunk pra cacete, Skacetada, Latin Skankin-Mexico) and produced 2 videoclipes (Evolução and Rudeboy).

Inside of the alternative circuit it divided the stage of São Paulo and other regions with diverse bands of national and international reputation as: Millencolin (Sweden), Voodoo Glow Skuls (U.S.A.), Mustard Plug (U.S.A.), Bambix (Holland), Dsailors (Germany), Satelite Kingston (Argentina), Skaladdin(Switzerland), Palmeras Kanibales(Venezuela) among others. Moreover, all year, in the previous week to the carnival, organizes a great party (that already tradition became), the copied known one and already: Skarnaval.

Also, from time to time, if it presents in the Sapobanjo format and Orquestra when it congregates several other musicians and it shows a repertoire stuffed of ska instrumental in the best style. In 2006 two festivals had created more: Festival Connection as an interchange of bands of other regions or countries with the same influences and the Skalloween, a carnival in October, a caricature of the Halloween with climate of terror B and good mood.

To fortify the spreading of its work, the SapoBanjo if presented in programs of the MTV, TV Culture, other channels for signature and of the InterNet, it gave interviews and it had its music propagated in magazines of music and in the main "Radios Rock" of São Paulo, reaching a public each bigger time. Currently the SapoBanjo if presents with Mau (vocal), Edu Z. (bass), Fábio Dexter(guitar), Pipeta(trompete), Pokemon(trombone), Rafa(sax baritone) and Mauriba (drums), the band is finishing the material that will be part of its new COMPACT DISC and, to commemorate its 10 years of road, plans to launch a DVD with material collected since the beginning of the career until today.
