Silence the foe hail from the year 2000. In its beginning years, the band played more shows across the Norwegian national borders than within. In contradiction to many other bands, Silence the Foe began their path totally oblivious to the art of handling a musical instrument. They just had an extreme urge to play in a band, they had to place all their effort and energy into madness and making themselves an interesting display on stage. Frenetic live shows became the bands strongest hand. Whether or not people liked the music was non important. The kids came to see their shows anyway. It was quite simply deadly to watch! As time went by and after numerous concerts, the bandmembers began to master their instruments. In spite of Silence the Foes long life time, the record Shaking Hallelujah, released in April 2006, was the bands debut full-length album. The band did some touring to support the album release, but decided to take things slow due to numerous reasons. Time silenced the band, but deep down in the underground, where demons and angels meet to decide the path of all men, words are spoken of a new Silence the Foe era. This might be tomorrow and this might be in one hundred years. Not even the band members know, but you my friend, you will surely be told when the time has come. ..

    The native-born Jamaican Marvin Anthony Burnett aka Sledgy was born in St. James at September, 27th in 1973.
    At the age of sixteen he came with his brother to Germany to stay with his mother and live a better life. Shortly afterwards young Anthony got down with rapping.
    To do music brings a lot of joy to him. Music is a great pleasure for Sledgy; he feels committed to make music.

    It helped him through his hard time after his entry into Germany which was totally foreign to him at that time.
    After he had rapped a long time for himself to take his mind off his worries, Burnett signed a contract with the label Power Jam Records.
    With conclusion of the treaty his music career begins.

    Under the name of Marvin Burnett he performs onstage (YOU) two times and at Funworld, Bodensee. Furthermore his music appeared on Radio K?ln and Radio 7.
    For two years he has been under contract to Power Jam Records which is known as GUMAK Media e.K. today.

    The Jamaican Burnett is also charitable. He gave many benefit performances, among others at K?lner Zoo, in a retirement home and not least at town hall in Cologne- Kalk.
