It all started out in Buxtehude, a suburban town south of Hamburg/Germany, SMALL TOWN RIOT have been working hard to earn their status as one of the finest streetpunk bands in northern Germany, if not even the whole country. The sound of Small Town Riot gets to punk rock heart: catchy melodies, dirty streetpunk and polyphonic vocals combined by great instrumentalists to high quality punk’n’roll songs, proving that Small Town Riot range on the same level as big bands in the punk business. Their DIY recorded and produced demo „DEMOlition“, released 2002, already got great feedback from local and national press and audiences alike. Entering the studio in 2003, their first full length album „Some Serious Shit“ was released a year later, followed by constant touring, sharing the stage with bands like Sick Of It All, The Movement, Peter Pan Speedrock or Deadline (UK). After releasing the „Skulls & Stripes“ EP, various tracks on compilations like „Let the Bombs Fall…“, Small Town Riot’s second full length album „Selftitled“ hit the shops in 2008, receiving top positions in album rankings in German punk rock mags like Ox-Fanzine, Wahrschauer, Plastic Bomb or Moloko Plus. In the beginning of 2010, Kids Union Records released “Selftitled” in China and the Best Of Compilation “Fuck Those Who Go Untried” was released by Warbird Entertainment in America. The boys are currently working on their third album “Suicidal Lifestyle” with 13 new songs which is going to be released September 12th November 2010. Don’t miss it!!!! ..
