-------------------------------------------------------------------- The Star Department's debut EP was released to much critical acclaim and national airplay in Ireland, Spain and the US. Legendary producer Kramer (Low, Daniel Johnston, Galaxie 500) declared himself a big fan and mastered both the debut EP and mini-album "Auditions". The band were chosen as one of Today FM's 'Rising Bands' and their song "Embers" has been chosen for the the Aer lingus in-flight track-list. They've played CMJ New York '09 & '10 & will play NXNE Toronto in summer '11 . stuff like.....the smiths/morrissey, the national, field music (anything that involves the brewis brothers, school of language, the week that was, etc..), grizzly bear, nick cave, weezer, the beach boys, death cab for cutie, dntel, the beatles, joan of arc, american football, the helio sequence, radiohead, the dudley corporation, hot club de paris, bonnie prince billy, my bloody valentine, the smashing pumpkins, wilco, ......anything that catches our attention really. good comedy, good film, good books.........
