I would bring my cell phone, whatever food I can, sleeping bag, pillow, 1 or 2 friends with me, just hide out in and old room or and old base and carry on with whatever I can to survive until rescue comes.

1st, have stashed: Dried wakame seaweed, sealed Potassium Iodide, some Miso & SPF 50 sunscreen. Lots of clean jugs of water too-- afterwards too late to store this stuff, which will keep your glands free during the fallout period. Guys, a lead-lined sports cup might preserve the human race as well.

Find a spot as protected by the earth as possible. Like a cave. Don't stay down there too long, or you'll mutate into little grey aliens.
