Asa Branca/O Ovo.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... Zé Filho was born in Recife-PE, Brazil but when he was 8 years old he moved to João Pessoa-PB, Brazil, when he still lives. He began to study music in the Conservatory of Music at Federal University of Paraiba-UFPB. He studied classic guitar during 4 years and then started to dedicate to popular music. At 16, he began to play the electric guitar, instrument in which he was always self-taught..... ..HISTORY.... In 1997, he launched his first instrumental CD, entitled "Guitar Performance" that obtained a good acceptance, so much for part of the public as well as the specialized criticism... In 2001 the new album "Q_OUT" was released. In 2002, the second edition of the first album, Guitar Performance. "With the spread of the second CD, the search for the first one grew up and since I had that already finished, I decided to do a new print run with a new graphic material, remastered and including 4 bonus tracks" Zé Filho comments... He is one of the representatives of the instrumental northeastern music, looking for his space among the instrumental Brazilian music... Zé Filho uses NIG strings and pedals, Meteoro amplifiers and guitars made by luthier Carlinhos Bezalel... ..EVOLUÇÃO.... Containing 10 tracks, " EVOLUÇÃO " is the name of the 4th CD album of guitarist Zé Filho. There's 9 instrumental tracks of his authorship and a re-reading for the music " Bluesão " by guitarist Washington Espínola from Paraíba, now living in Switzerland... " I find this music one of the best of Washington Espínola's repertoire and I always wished to record it. It is a tribute to the Washington, undoubtedly one of the most highly thought names of music from Paraíba. " ZF comments... The cd had the collaboration of great musicians, such as Sérgio Groove and Sérgio Gallo (bass), Gledson Meira, Glaucous Andrezza and André Videres (drums), Giulian Cabral, Fábio Giovanni and Helium Medeiros (keyboards) and still special participations of guitarist Edu Ardanuy, saxophonist Costinha and Uirapuru Quintet ... Among the tracks which compose the cd, there is the outstanding "Portal das Cores", in honor of the public bar which was a success in the 90's" " I used do play very often at the Portal das Cores. It was undoubtedly one of the best places of our town, mostly beautiful people and high vibes. It was very sad what happened there", ZF says... The CD was entirely produced in João Pessoa, recorded at PROMIX studio, mixed and mastered at SG Studio, under the sponsorship of Municipal Fund of Culture in the Mayor's office of João Pessoa... One of the high points of the CD was the participation of Uirapuru Quintet, mixing traditional instruments like acoustic double bass, violin, viola and bassoon with the electric guitar, composing an unusual mixture which gave beautiful results, as can be checked in the piece "O Recomeço"..... ..**...... HISTÓRIA Zé Filho nasceu em Recife-PE mas reside em João Pessoa desde os 8 anos de idade. Começou a estudar música no conservatório da UFPB. Estudou violão clássico durante 4 anos e em seguida passou a se dedicar ao popular. Aos 16 anos começou a tocar guitarra, instrumento em que sempre foi autodidata. Em 1997 lançou o seu primeiro cd instrumental intitulado "Guitar Performance" que obteve uma boa aceitação tanto por parte do público como da crítica especializada. Em 2001 foi a vez do "Q_OUT". Em 2002 saiu a 2 edição do Guitar Performance."Com a divulgação do segundo cd a procura pelo primeiro cresceu e como já havia se esgotado resolvi fazer uma nova tiragem com um novo material gráfico, remasterizado e contendo 4 faixas bônus" comenta ZF. É um dos representantes da música instrumental nordestina, buscando seu espaço no meio da música instrumental brasileira. Zé filho usa cordas e pedais NIG, amplificadores Meteoro e guitarras do luthier Carlinhos Bezalel. EVOLUÇÃO Composto por 10 músicas, "EVOLUÇÃO" é o nome do 4º cd do guitarrista Zé Filho. São 9 faixas instrumentais de sua autoria e uma releitura para a música "Bluesão" do guitarrista paraibano, hoje radicado na Suíça, Washington Espínola. "Acho essa música umas das melhores do repertório de WE e sempre tive vontade de gravá-la. É uma homenagem que faço à Washington, sem dúvida um dos nomes mais conceituados da música paraibana." comenta ZF. O cd contou com a participação de grande músicos como Sérgio Groove e Sérgio Gallo (baixo), Gledson Meira, Glauco Andrezza e André Videres (bateria), Giulian Cabral, Fábio Giovanni e Hélio Medeiros (teclado) e ainda com as participações especiais do guitarrista Edu Ardanuy, do saxofonista Costinha e do Quinteto Uirapuru. Dentre as músicas que compõe o cd, destaca-se a música "Portal das Cores" feita em homenagem ao bar que foi sucesso na década de 90. "Toquei muitas vezes no Portal. Era sem dúvida um dos melhores locais da nossa cidade, só gente bonita e de alto astral. Foi muito triste o que aconteceu por lá."diz ZF O cd foi produzido todo em João Pessoa, gravado no estúdio PROMIX e mixado e masterizado no SG Studio e contou com o patrocínio do Fundo Municipal de Cultura da Prefeitura Municipal de João Pessoa. Um dos pontos altos do CD foi a participação do Quinteto Uirapuru mesclando instrumentos tradicionalmente eruditos como contrabaixo acústico, violino, viola e fagote com a guitarra elétrica compondo uma mistura inusitada mas que deu um resultado belíssimo como pode ser conferido na música "O Recomeço". .. .. .. ..Zé filho usa cordas e pedais NIG, amplificadores Meteoro e guitarras do luthier Carlinhos Bezalel. ..
